Actor Samantha recalled suffering a concussion while shooting for her latest series, Citadel: Honey Bunny. In an interview recently, she opened up on facing a blackout on the set and forgetting names. Samantha said she remembered they only had one day to complete the shoot, but she couldn’t perform her stunts.
The actor was talking on Galatta India when she shared, “I had a concussion and I forgot the names after that. I completely blanked out. That was quite something.” She was joined by the show’s writer, Sita Menon, in the interview, who also had something to add to the entire experience.
When Samantha said she didn’t remember anyone taking her to a doctor, Menon interjected and clarified that the actor probably forgot that there was a doctor on call. “Now that I think of it, nobody took me to the hospital. Nobody asked me,” Samantha said, as the writer added, “they did have a doctor on call, which Samantha does not remember because of her concussion.”
The 37-year-old is battling myositis, and she probably suffered a concussion because of the same. Samantha continued to talk about trying hard to finish the shoot that day. “I remember, during my concussion, hearing that we had the set only for less than a day, we needed to finish the shoot. So in my concussion, I was like, ‘I am coming, people, I am coming’. Then I remember the stunt guy was in front of me, and then I was like, ‘What am I doing?’ and they were like, ‘Okay, cut, not happening’,” she explained.
Samantha is joined by Varun Dhawan in Citadel: Honey Bunny. The Prime Video series is directed by Raj & DK of The Family Man fame. It is a part of the Russo Brothers’ global spy universe. The first series in the universe featured Priyanka Chopra playing agent Nadia.
Citadel: Honey Bunny is slated to release on November 7.
